Subject	Cosmoline crud ?

Message	My '91 300ZX N/A still has areas under the hood that have that baked-on black/brown shipping crud (cosmoline ?) intact. Tried linseed oil once, but that stuff likes to remove paint also. Has anybody ever found a good solution to remove that unsightly crud ? Without damaging the underhood paint ? Too bad that the fuel injector connectors were'nt engineered to last as long !
